Women who murder, a growing trend in America

The innocent cute girl who grew up in the suburbs, attractive, trendy dress, very feminine, doesn't look like the type to hold an axe does she? The whole point I was trying to make is that you just never know a person, it doesn't matter how innocent, or cute they are, you just don't know of who is capable of doing what. Which is one of the things that makes life scary, not knowing who you are going to run into, or what kind of person they are. Some people get married or are in long-term relationships only to find out that that person they were with for so long, is not who they thought they are.

One thing I did not understand is reason for the rise of female violence in America. One of the factors, happens to be spousal abuse, which stumped me because we now live in modern times in which women work, go to school, vote, and are able to take care of themselves. So why exactly would spousal abuse still be such a huge factor in the growing crime rate in women? Turns out the other two factors are substance abuse, and prior sexual abuse from a parent or a guardian in the past. Although abuse against women has slowed over the years due to the situation being publicly addressed, still continues to be an issue in the United States.  Since women now work and take care of the home, drugs and alcohol serve as an outlet to relieve of the stress that they happen to take on. Women always had a bit of pressure over the years, the task of always having to juggle a home and take care of the children, along with dealing with abuse from men and in some cases, other women . Flash forward to the times we live in now, the pressure has doubled. Even though we live in modern times, where women are able to go to work, and have the freedoms that they did not have before, there is still the underlying problem that still exists in a male dominated society. Read below for Abuse & Violence  statistics.
